Boundless breadth

SISTEMA E 150 DE EXTRUAL DE TRES HOJAS CON SUELO CORRIDO INSTALADO EN PROYECTO ARQUITECTONICO EN GUATEMALA

A garden bound to the home

A villa called “Casa Grata” in the unique landscapes of Guatemala, this architectural project required combining security, garden, and living space with minimal expression and maximum length. The aim was to make the exterior an extension of an immense U-shaped living room with several uses.

This impressive work has used our minimalist E-150 system to its fullest extent. With 36-millimetre glazing and concealed roller bearings, the cross reinforcement was integrated after the window was manufactured.

The system’s unique screed with a concealed, accessible drainage channel facilitated the correct installation of the lower frame, ensuring the watertightness that is so important in these systems exposed to torrential rains, with average intensities of 60 mm/h.

This installation required 266mm frames for its 4 rails in an 8-leaf sliding format on a continuous floor. The great advantage was the installation, given the need for heavy glass due to its size, since the E-150 supports up to 500 kg per leaf and can be installed at the same site.

Aesthetics are another of the architectural marvels reflected in this villa. For another room requiring wood, sublimated profiles were used in the flooring, adapting perfectly to the construction, without distinguishing where the system begins and where the floor ends.
