Andalusian single-family home
Located in the rural municipality of Lora del Río, in Seville, this home has been renovated with the intention of combining its original style with modern systems that unite spaces through light.
With several levels and depths, the project allows you an unobstructed view from the outdoor courtyard to the interior courtyard itself, passing through the kitchen, and providing natural light throughout the house.
The reflections and shadows created by nature itself create a magical space that invites you to relax, read, chat, or take a nap in true Andalusian style, with the sounds and air currents of nature itself thanks to the courtyard’s full opening whenever you wish.
With this in mind, the window system has been used and the manual E-150 minimalist sliding door with thermal break, which also provides the home with extraordinary safety with 9A watertightness and class 4 air permeability. Standing over 2 metres high, it naturally connects the outdoors and indoors. On this occasion, the system’s fine lines were emphasised to enhance the modernity of the kitchen materials and create a beautiful contrast with the original cabinetry. However, there is also the option of installing it in a concealed position, with the entire leaf inserted into the wall so that the opening is complete.
For maximum transparency, connect the kitchen and the interior courtyard/living room with the E-28 French window in its fixed version with crossbars, which allows for interior and exterior coplanar frames and also curved frames, with leaves up to 1.7 metres wide and 2.7 metres high. Furthermore, the courtyard was originally open, but during the renovation, it was closed off with a completely transparent curtain wall roof, to which an awning was added that, depending on lighting requirements, it can be uncovered or covered at will.
